State of the Pups
This month was a seriously weird one. I started off really strong, had more than half of my reqs done by mid-month without even trying, and then there was this metric fuckton of personal stress exacerbated by PMS, and my RP enthusiasm crashed like a shitty souffle. As a result, I took Charles off of reserve, which absolutely gutted me to do, but I had to be honest with myself and my current capabilities. He would be a pretty intense pup, and I really need to just focus on who I have now, especially with school starting again next month and vacation coming at the beginning of October and such.
The good news is that I'm feeling way better now and super motivated, but I've pretty much given up on this month. I'm definitely not making reqs, but I'm at peace with that. It's for the best, really.

I barely did anything new with Shari this month at all, which I suppose tells you what kind of month it was. I'd gotten started on a couple of new threads for her right around when I crashed. The main thread for her this month was her old one from last month with Rizzo, which I enjoyed, so I was playing her, just not in anything that would make reqs. I am at a point now where I need to step back and evaluate what I'm doing with Shari, whether I really do want to do the time loop this year, what other plans I can make for her, etc. She's not one I ever, ever struggle with, so sometimes I just let her do whatever comes up, but I don't want to rest too much on my laurels.

Jesus, what a month. IDK how much (if any) of it will be linked before the end of the month, but he's had a heck of an emotional roller coaster. He slept with Remus a couple of days after his intervention, and that just never ends well for either of them. Case in point: He woke up the next morning to discover that Remus thought he was 16 again and had forgotten the whole thing. Things have also been super tense with Harry, and then he and Snape discovered that old!Snape was married to Regulus, and overall poor Sirius has just been emotional and volatile and tied up in knots. What else is new~

…was so neglected this month. I'd thought to get her activity in the last two weeks of the month, maybe with an EP, and we see how well that went. :P I do have a more minor personal plot I want to work on, mostly concerning Tony (where "minor" just means "interpersonal relationships rather than shit blowing up"), no idea how that will go but it could be interesting. I want her to continue having threads with her friends, too—Peter, Karen, Hal, Helen etc.
As a random aside, just saw this text-gif combo on Tumblr, and am now LOLing. IT'S GOING TO BE OKAY, PETE.

Has had an alright month, actually. She's got a casual thread with Priestly, which I always love, and a private thread with Daniel, in which I'm mostly just DERP DERP SCIENCE. She's not been super visible, but I've been playing her consistently. Next month, she'll be getting another Fear Plot EP for sure, and I'm going to try to squeeze in a canon rewatch between now and then so that her voice is really fresh.

Is presently having a pretty important conversation with Edmund about how he is, essentially, alone on the island and feeling increasingly adrift. He hasn't gotten to the point in his life yet where he knows how to get on without his siblings, and he feels like he doesn't know Ed anymore, wah wah wah. What this really means is that I need to make a bigger effort to make him friends and not just acquaintances. Peter's a tricky one for that, looking so young and acting so stodgy (and, often, so full of himself). Definitely want to get more threads in with Charming and All Starks, but I need to broaden my view a little, too. Maybe find him a lady to crush on. I should probably consider doing a soul-crushing home plot, too, but not until Edmund's fear plot is over.
LOL, someone on Tumblr sorted Peter into Hufflepuff, WHAT.
P.S. It's his birthday today. Island legal in every way~ Seriously, ladies, get on that.

NGL, in the depths of my PMS-fueled despair, I was worried I was going to have to let Posner go, too. The intensity of my instinctive negative reaction to that was telling, though, and I've only gotten a few tags in since getting on the other side of my bad patch and I'm all heart eyes again. Near the end of this month, he forgot Dakin, and it's been fairly glorious. It's implied in canon that he's been in love with Dakin for quite some time, at least to the point that it surprises no one anymore, and I imagine that this infatuation and Dakin's subsequently awful treatment happening at a stage of critical personal development for the kid was not great for him. So it's been fun, not just Dakin and Scripps' reactions, but figuring out how Posner would be different. I'm also supposed to have a thread with Francis that we'll probably have to backdate now, where they're both amnesia'ed and decide to be an official item and finally have sex, LE GASP. Should be fun times.

Another clue that this month was majorly off for me: Only 3 Stiles threads so far, one of which I had to cut short from my fail. (I think I might EP him this afternoon, though, if there is interest.) Scott showed up! This is huge for Stiles, it means he can relax and feel more like himself now. The island won't feel so temporary anymore. I'm wanting him to eventually host a party at Currahee in the vein of the party at the beginning of the original Teen Wolf movie, where he pulls names out of a hat and assigns random and possibly horrifying teen party games to people (Seven minutes in heaven, etc.), but Maxxie's birthday will be next month so I'm going to save it for later in the year. I'd make it a Halloween party, except the pups are way too aware of the horrible shit that will be going down to celebrate, even early. (ETA: Actually, now that I think about it, a "We might all die tomorrow, let's have a party tonight" kind of party could make sense.) I could, in theory, wait to see if we get a Derek so that he can stand in the shadows and watch with a disapproving glare like the giant creeper he is. :D Anyway, I want more friends for Stiles, lots of friends, so if you have a pup who might like him, let me know and I'll hit you up!
And that's all. Except for certain ridiculous rich girls in PotF. I cannot guarantee I can handle more than seven, so this is where I am stopping for awhile.
