State of the Pups

This past month has been really fantastic all-around for me, and practically night and day when compared to the past few months. I've been very easily managing my seven pups, and while I doubt I ever be one of those super fast taggers, I've kept up just fine and haven't gotten anxious about keeping up despite that I had 20+ threads going for the better part of the month. More importantly, I've managed to do this while writing quite a bit and consistently on personal projects, two of which finally, finally got off the ground after months of struggling to determine where I was going with them. So overall, I'm pretty pleased and looking forward to next month despite that none of mine are in Amnesia Plot.

Not a ton happened this month that was significant, but I wanted to do one of these anyway.

Shari had a fairly leisurely month, partially because so had so much activity at the end of May that carried over into June. This is honestly fine, especially as some of those threads were important as I continue to build up to her time loop. Still not 100% on when that's going to take place. I'm waiting for the right time, and I feel like she's nearly there, but it's not quite perfect yet. Despite having only one thread in the town hall meeting, you can be sure that Shari's also been doing whatever she can to help the community prepare for Halloween. I would also like to know who I need to blow to get someone to app her brother and use Robert Schwartzman as the PB.

SIRIUS BLACK Harry Potter DOB: 19 Nov 59 Age: 23 Since May 08 blackedout

What a month. Sirius has slept with Granby, but we're still threading it out, so I can't 100% say how that all went yet. It was intended to be just sex for sex's sake to break him out of his slump, but Granby reminds Sirius physically of James, while being infinitely nicer than James ever was to Sirius, especially in that context, so it's become quite complicated, at least from Sirius' side of things. I'm very much interested to see what comes of it. And, of course, Cassie has gone, which threw him back into a depression. We're threading out that reaction right now, and fortunately for everyone, I think it will go much easier than when James disappeared. Overall, it's been an extremely emotionally-draining month for poor Sirius.

PEPPER POTTS Iron Man DOB: 17 Jan 72 Age: 39 Since Aug 08 wildlyconflicted

Pretty low-key month for Pepper as well, which is fine since she had an EP last month. She does have one important thing going on which will be link dropped probably tomorrow, but other than that she's just been working on the house plans and tutting over the island being a sadist. AFAIK, no one she's close to is going into amnesia plot, so I imagine next month will be fairly quiet for her, too. That's how it goes for Pepper: She'll have a month or two with crazy activity, usually because the island is torturing her and hers, and then several months enjoying the calm, and we're presently in the downswing. It'll go back up soon enough, I am sure.

JANE FOSTER Thor DOB: 23 Nov 81 Age: 29 Since May 11 sciencefact

I've not given Jane another fear plot incident because I want to ramp up to Halloween VERY slowly so that she doesn't catch on that it's a hallucination. Her main concern at present is Thor and Loki, who have been on the outs. Nix and I are doing a thread right now where Jane finally gets some answers, and I have no idea how that will go, but I'm looking forward to her next hallucination regardless. I think I'll time it to middle to end of next month, but I'll need to get with Abigail before I make a firm decision on timing, since Jane should have the impetus by then to confront Loki. Other than that, quiet month! I need at least one more thread for her this month, and I'm not terribly worried about it, but if you're interested in one, just give me a shout.

PETER PEVENSIE The Chronicles of Narnia DOB: 30 Jul 27 Age: 15/28 Since Dec 11 high_king

Clearly needs to find himself a lady and have babies, OMG. And I say that as someone who does not care for babies much IRL or IG. As I've expressed to several people, though, Peter is in a difficult position with regards to romance: He's too old mentally to feel comfortable dating a teenager, and he's too young physically for most ladies of the proper age to feel comfortable dating him. Forever alone~ I'm still tagging his ridiculous clamming EP, and really enjoying all of the threads so far. I might have more to say about the state of Peter next month after these threads get a bit further on. I have no idea if we're doing anything for it, but his birthday is at the end of July, too. Also, Kat's putting Edmund in fear plot, so that should be fun and horribly traumatizing all-around.

DAVID POSNER The History Boys DOB: 6 Sep 65 Age: 17 Since Jan 12 spanielheart

There's not much to say about Poz this month, as I've got him in a bit of a holding pattern until Charles arrives and fucks everyone's shit up. I'm enjoying threading him with attractive men, though. He gets so dreamy-eyed and awkward, bless him. He's only got 3 threads this month (including an older one I have to link), so if anybody would like to thread with him before July hits, I'm all for it.

STILES STILINSKI Teen Wolf DOB: 24 Jan 95 Age: 17 Since Jun 12 better_yoda

THIS ADORABLE FUCKER RIGHT HERE. When I got back to watching Teen Wolf last month after like a year, I had no idea that 1) I would love it as intensely as I do, and 2) that I would be grabbed this hard by Stiles, despite him already being my favorite. He was just one of those pups where you know right away that you must play him, and it happened really fast, but I don't regret a bit of it. His EP had 11 threads (!!!), and I could have easily had more. I could have gone all month just playing Stiles, I hated having to FTB on his threads, but I can't let new and shiny override everybody else. There's not a lot to say yet, other than I want him to meet EVERYONE, and I'm excited at the prospect of canon mates. I'm super pumped to read the apps even if I can't review them. (And I hear through the grapevine we might be getting another from someone not yet in the game!) In short: You should all be watching TW, and I loved all of his threads and thank you for tagging and tolerating his wacky ass. ♥

CHARLES MACAULAY The Secret History DOB: 1966 Age: 20 Reserved for P4 adiaphoros

Got bumped back to late July so as to line up his arrival with events happening in Amnesia Plot more effectively, but he's still very much on the way. I NEED A DOCTOR. Charles will have mild pneumonia upon arrival, and IDEK if I need the doctoring threaded out, but he will need someone, if anyone wants to volunteer.

If you need a doc for Charles, I've always got Bones who will be looking forward to working as much as possible to ignore the uneasy feeling amnesia plot is going to leave him with.

I'm not entirely sure why, but the idea of threading Peter and Kate amuses me. If it amuses you, I'm good for it. Also, Daniel would love to talk to Jane if that appeals.

Otherwise, I feel like Pepper and Nikita should thread at some point, but possibly not until Nikita's slightly more sane. Right now, in my head, it mostly looks like "well, they both have amazing taste in clothes..." xD

I think that Peter would probably find Kate somewhat disconcerting, if not discomfiting, because he really is such an old fuddy-duddy at heart. So yeah, I think it could be fun! And yes, Jane and Daniel should definitely thread!

I'm sort of horrible about EPing Pepper so I might need you to give me a nudge when Nikita is in a better place, but that sounds good, too.
